APA Texas Chapter Webinar - Overview of Upcoming PROWAG Integration into TAS

(course numbers pending) This course will go over the details proposed in the 2025 TAS incorporation of the federal Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines.  You will learn the difference between curb ramp requirements in right-of-way projects and non-right-of-way projects. We will discuss exceptions for right-of-way projects and learn about pedestrian elements, such as crosswalks.

After the course, attendees will:

  • Understand why TDLR is integrating the federal Public Right-of-Way Guidelines into TAS
  • Know at least three new updates for public right-of-way projects
  • Know at least three new updates to pedestrian elements
  • Have an understanding of some of the new exceptions within public right-of-way projects

Licensees are responsible for tracking and reporting their own CE credit to TDLR in accordance with the department's requirements. For information on CE credit requirements, including the types of courses that qualify, the number of hours required, and how to report credit, please visit the TDLR website at https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/ab/.
  6. APA will report attendance to APAC and AIA if the course is approved for APAC and AIA CE credit. For all other organizations, attendees must self-report using the course completion certificates provided by APA.
